Leaky gut syndrome is a rapidly growing condition effecting millions of people who are struggling with it and don’t even know it. Leaky gut syndrome may lead to many other health conditions other than digestive disorders.
According to research, leaky gut could be the cause of your low energy, thyroid disease, skin condition, joint pain, autoimmune diseases, food allergies and slow metabolism.
Dr. Lalezar utilizes a blood test offered by Cyrex Laboratory which screens for Intestinal Antigenic Permeability. This test measures Actomysin, Occludin/Zonulin, Lipopolysaccharides IgG, IgA, IgM. If these antibodies are elevated, the intestinal bonds are broken and the gut is leaky and permeable.
Once this is detected, Dr. Lalezar will place patients on a protocol to heal the gut lining. This protocol may entail IV infusion therapy, allergy elimination diet, chelation therapy, candida cleanses, and targeted nutritional supplements.
Food Allergy Testing
Several food allergy panels are offered at the Health and Vitality Center. The main difference between these panels and what your Allergist may order is the following:
Most often, conventional doctors test for IgE mediated food allergies. These antibodies go up only in case of a severe food allergy and not necessarily a food sensitivity. At our clinic we will test for IgG and IgA mediated allergies, which can be hidden and patients may not be aware of them.
Once a food sensitivity is determined, they are eliminated from your diet, and once your system gets stronger a rotation diet is recommended. A rotation diet consists of only eating a certain allergenic food every 4 days. Targeted nutritional supplements are also recommended to heal the root cause of food allergies, which is leaky gut syndrome.
